What are AI credits?
AI credits are a currency inside an AI tool. Instead of a separate price for every kind of request, the tool converts the cost of each generation into credits and takes them from your balance.
They exist because AI jobs cost very different amounts to run. A short chat reply uses a little computing time; a ten-second video uses a great deal. Credits let one balance pay for both fairly.

Why does a video cost more credits than text?
What a generation spends depends on what it costs the provider to make it.
- Text: priced by length. A long article spends more than a one-line answer.
- Images: priced per image, with larger or higher-quality images costing more.
- Video: the most expensive, priced by the clip, and longer clips cost more.
- Audio: voiceovers, music and transcripts are priced by length.

How do monthly AI credits and top-ups work in Flaxxa AI?
In Flaxxa AI, credits come two ways.
Plans paid month by month include a monthly allowance of AI credits. Yearly, lifetime and free plans don't get a monthly allowance. Any workspace can also buy extra credits when it needs more.
The balance belongs to the workspace, not to one app: Flaxxa AI and the AI features in other Flaxxa apps all spend from it. When the balance runs out, generations stop until credits are added, so nothing is billed by surprise.

How do you keep track of AI credit spending?
Flaxxa's AI Credits page shows the workspace's balance and the credits used this month. A few habits keep spending predictable:
- Draft and refine in text before generating images or video, which cost more.
- Generate one image or a short clip first, then make more once the prompt is right.
- Save prompts that work, so you don't pay for trial and error twice.
