Pulse · Channels & Messaging

Team messaging with channels, threads and realtime updates.

Team messaging means conversations organised into channels instead of inboxes. In Flaxxa Pulse, public and private channels, threads, reactions and formatted messages reach every screen the moment they're sent, with typing indicators and unread counts that catch up if the connection drops.

Why does team chat get noisy?

01

One big room

A single flat chat turns into noise as the team grows, and three conversations happen at once.

02

Refresh to catch up

If chat isn't truly live, two people answer the same question because neither saw the other.

03

Tangents bury updates

Without threads, the update you needed is ten replies down, under a debate about lunch.

How does messaging work in Flaxxa Pulse?

01

Organise by channel

Create public channels for open topics and private ones for restricted work. Every member joins #general, and each channel has roles, a topic and a purpose.

02

Send, edit, react

Write formatted messages, edit them (marked as edited) and react with emoji; everything reaches everyone live.

03

Reply in threads

Take a side discussion into a thread. Threads are one level deep and show their reply count and last reply.

04

Pick up where you left off

Unread counts follow what you've read, you can mark a message unread to come back to it, and drafts save per channel and thread.

03 / 04

What can you do with Flaxxa Pulse channels?

Channel roles

Owner, admin and member roles per channel, with a topic and a purpose line.

#general for everyone

Every workspace gets #general and every member joins it.

Safe formatting

Messages are rendered on the server into safe HTML, one rendering path for everyone.

Threads

Reply counts and last-reply times show which discussions are still active.

Reactions

Emoji reactions, one per person per emoji, updated live.

Forward and link

Forward a message with a comment, or copy a link that opens straight to it.

Archive

Archive a finished channel: history stays, new messages stop.

Slash commands

/me, /shrug, /dm, /leave, /topic and /rename from the composer.

04 / 04

What changes when chat is organised and live?

Signal, not noise

Channels and threads keep each conversation in its place.

Everyone in sync

No refreshing and no duplicate answers.

Nothing lost

Unread counts, drafts and message links bring you back to what mattered.

FAQ

Channels & Messaging: common questions

Frequently asked questions

Anyone in the workspace can find and join a public channel. A private channel is visible only to its members; non-members can't open it, and its messages never appear in their search.
