When should you schedule an email instead of sending it now?
When the right time to arrive isn't the time you're writing. A reply drafted at midnight lands better at 9am; a Monday update can be written on Friday; a message to another time zone can arrive during their working day.
Scheduling also helps you keep working hours: answer when it suits you without teaching people to expect replies at all hours.

How does scheduled send work in Flaxxa Mails?

The message is held in Flaxxa, not on your device.

At the chosen time it goes out from the account, with its signature.

How is scheduled send different from undo send?
Undo send holds every message for a few seconds, up to 60, so you can stop it right after clicking Send. Scheduled send holds one message until a time you choose, minutes or days ahead. Both use the same queue, and both can be cancelled while the message is still waiting.

Can you schedule email from your own code?
Yes. Pass scheduled_for, an ISO date in the future, to POST /send with an API key that has the mails.send scope. The message is queued for that time, and an app.mails.message.sent webhook fires when it leaves the account.
