Sign in with the provider
For Gmail, you grant access with Google sign-in (OAuth). No password is stored; the app reads and sends through Gmail's own API.
A unified inbox shows the mail from several email accounts in one list. The app connects to each mailbox, by signing in with the provider or over IMAP, copies new messages in as they arrive, and sends your replies back out through the account each message came to, so you read everything in one place without mixing up addresses.

A unified inbox, sometimes called an all-accounts inbox or universal inbox, brings the mail from every account you own into one view. Instead of opening a browser tab per mailbox, you see one list ordered by time, with a marker showing which account each message belongs to.
Nothing moves between your accounts. Each mailbox stays with its provider; the unified inbox is a window onto all of them at once, with search, filters and sending that work across the lot.

For Gmail, you grant access with Google sign-in (OAuth). No password is stored; the app reads and sends through Gmail's own API.
For most other providers, the app logs in to the IMAP server to read and the SMTP server to send, usually with an app password.
The app checks each mailbox on a schedule, copies new messages in and groups replies into conversations.
When you reply, the message goes out through the account it arrived in, so your contacts see the address they wrote to.

Check that every account you own can connect, and how: a one-click sign-in or IMAP with an app password.
One search over every mailbox, including message text, not only subjects.
Replies from the right address, with a signature per account.
Undo send and scheduled send, so a message goes when you mean it to.
Passwords and tokens should be encrypted on the server and never shown back to the browser.
How much history is copied in, and how quickly new mail appears.

No. Your mail stays with each provider. Reading, starring or moving a message in Flaxxa Mails is mirrored back where the provider supports it, and removing an account from Flaxxa Mails doesn't delete mail from the provider.
Put it to work
A unified inbox for all your email accounts: one threaded list across Gmail and IMAP mailboxes, filters, folders, and a reader where scripts can't run.
Connect Gmail in one click with Google sign-in, or any IMAP and SMTP provider with an app password, a connection test and an SMTP port probe.
Search every connected email account at once: full-text search over message bodies plus subject, snippet and sender, combined with labels and filters.
