Why do businesses need WhatsApp payments?

If you're a D2C team running WhatsApp campaigns, the customer journey often looks like this: WhatsApp message → tap link → web browser → find the product again → checkout page → drop-off. Every extra step between the message and the payment loses customers.

Worse, even when the customer pays, the payment is recorded somewhere the WhatsApp conversation can't see, so nobody in the chat knows it happened.

The fix is to send the payment link at the moment the customer decides, inside the conversation, and to let the flow carry on as soon as the payment comes through.

How do WhatsApp payments work?

Connect your own Razorpay, Stripe or PhonePe account once. In the flow builder, add a payment step with the amount and a description.

When a customer reaches that step, Flaxxa creates a checkout on your gateway (a Razorpay payment link, a Stripe Checkout page or a PhonePe checkout) and sends the link in the chat. The flow then waits. When the gateway reports the payment, Flaxxa checks the status with the gateway itself before trusting it, and the flow moves on down its paid path, for example to confirm the order. If the link expires unpaid, the flow takes the unpaid path instead.

Razorpay and PhonePe collect in INR; Stripe handles other currencies too. The money goes straight to your gateway account.
